Scholarships for Hispanic Women

There are a number of scholarships for Hispanic women who dream of going to college but need financial assistance. It varies from a full scholarship to partial scholarship and so do the requirements and the application process. Hispanic women are known to make 52% more than men because of the Equal Pay Act. Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The HSF offers scholarship programs for every Hispanic individual who dreams of going to or finishing college whether you are getting into a two-year or a four-year course. The maximum scholarship money is a hefting $15,000 and the minimum is $1,000 although the average reward amount for a four-year course is $2,500 and $1,250 for a two-year course. These funds can cover the basic tuition, books, other miscellaneous fees and even room and transportation expenses pertaining to the education. This scholarship program has a minimum GPA requirement of minimum cumulative 3.0 among many other qualifications. There is a n easy application form that you can fill online in their website and the deadline is December 15th of every school year. That means you still a lot of time to apply for the HSF.

Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, Inc.

CHCI grants $2,500 to their college pursuing scholars and $5,000 to those taking up a graduate-level degree. These amounts aim to pay for the scholar’s educational related expenses. The scholarship fund will not be given in a one-time payment, instead, it will be disbursed all throughout the years that you will be in school. Among the many eligibility criteria of the CHCI are strong writing skills, financial need and active in extra-curricular activities. The deadline for the CHCI scholarship has been long due, April 16, for this year so if you missed this, there are still others that are open.

MillerCoors Brewing Company Scholarship

On May 25th of every year, the application for the MillerCoors Brewing Company Scholarship for the following year ends. It’s mission is “To inspire the best and brightest Latino college students to graduate and succeed through scholarships, internships and leadership development” and awards scholarship funding between $1,000 to $3,000. It is limited to incoming junior and senior students though and only several courses and colleges are accredited such as public relations, marketing, international business and economics.
